Seaside Nail Art

It's been such a long time since I did some nail art so I thought I'd make an effort with these. I took inspiration from my recent trip to Devon where I stayed by the sea. I used dotting tools, thin brushes and even an eyeliner brush. I feel a lot of it looks like something I would've painted when I was younger (especially the sailboat with the sun) but just on a much smaller scale.

My Etsy Store!

I thought I'd do a little bit of a different post today and show you my Etsy store! A few weeks ago, I made myself a scrunchie with a bow using some leftover material I had and thought why not make some more and sell them. So that's what I'm doing! I also make scrunchies with bunny ears that work well with high ponytails. The store is called For The Crown since crown can mean the top of a person's head or whole head. I also thought it sounded like a dramatic show/book where people do anything it takes to become rulers (which reminds me I need to watch more of Game of Thrones but I've recently been sidetracked by Orange Is The New Black). I have bought some more fabrics so there will be more different colours and styles up on the shop soon!

Apologies for the lack of posts this week but I was in Paris for the last few days! I didn't have any wifi there so I was away from social media and everything for a while. I didn't miss it that much though since I was in a gorgeous city (although I probably wouldn't have gotten lost as much if I did have wifi). I haven't been to Paris in about 10 years so I had to do all of the touristy stuff again because I could barely remember anything. It was a shame it was grey and rainy most of the time but hey, I'm British, we're used to it. I'd love to go back again when there's better weather, explore some more and experience the cafe culture properly.

Sugar For Spike Giveaway

Enter!

Hello everyone! For today's post I'm promoting Sugar For Spike's launch giveaway who have 5 $100 Urban Decay vouchers up for grabs.

To enter the giveaway, click here and follow the steps!

Sugar For Spike is a new brand based in Singapore. Their first collection has a lot of great pieces which look like they can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. There's a mix of bold colours and vibrant prints which are balanced out with a few neutrals. I also love the concept behind their lookbook and it looks like a really fun shoot.

But enough from me - this is what they have to say about their debut:

Sugar For Spike is pleased to announce the release of its debut collection editorial lookbook.

The inspiration behind the lookbook comes from two friends, looking for an escape from the perfectionism and commercialism of their city, where they stumble into a “secret” underground hangout to have a little carefree fun.

Dancing and twirling throughout the night, and forgetting whom they are and what the world deems as appropriate behaviour, they end up discovering that the liberation from the night out will be one of the memories they will treasure about their youth.

The collection is slated to release at select retailers and online at sugarforspike.com on 7th August 2014. The line is also available for pre-order now, with free international shipping. Closing date for pre-orders is 10th July 2014.
