Part 1 of my Tokyo travel diary is here! I was only in Tokyo last week and I miss it already. If Japan isn't on your bucket list of places to go then you need to add it right now. It's such an interesting place and so different from anywhere I've been before. The word 'megacity' is such an apt description for Tokyo. The vastness of the city and the extremely fast pace was pretty overwhelming at times, even for a city girl like me. However, even though I was dead tired at the end of each day, I really can't wait to go back and do it all again some day.
This is what Faaizah and I got up to on our first full day. We decided to check out Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa in the morning.
Sneaky street style photos! I keep seeing this bag everywhere. Does anyone know where it's from?
From street style to kimonos! Tokyo has quite a good mix of traditional and modern.
Tokyo Sky Tree in the distance. I'll definitely have to go to the top on my next visit.
I was on the hunt for taiyaki and managed to find some near the temple. I chose the red bean kind but they had a lot of other fillings to choose from.
Wandering down alleyways.
In the afternoon, we headed to Ginza to see more of modern Tokyo.
All my respect to girls who spend all day in heels like these.
We managed to find Sanrio World, a store filled with Sanrio related plushies, stationary, nail stickers, and whatever else you can think of.
Part 2 coming soon!
